DOMAINE Trapet Rochelandet
gevrey Chambertin

  • Located in the heart of Cotes de Nuits, in Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine François Trapet Rochelandet, since mid XIXth Century, spreads over 7 hectares. Domaine is run today by the son Laurant Trapet Rochelandet, and this is why domaine name has been changed from François Trapet to Trapet Rochelandet.

 

Production includes :

  • Bourgogne rouge (located in Gevrey Chambertin)
  • Gevrey Chambertin
  • Gevrey Chambertin 1er cru (also famous Petite Chapelle) All climates are preserved.
  • Grand Cru les Ruchottes

 

All vines are minimum 40 years old and even 100 years old for the regular Bourgogne Rouge.

Production is not organic but work is done without any pesticides nor additives.
Wines are certified HVE (High Environmental Value).

Plow of the fields

Small yields (32 to 35 hectolitres per hectare) in order to obtain wines with concentrated aromas that flatter nose and palate.

Traditional Burgundy vinification but adapted to modern technology. Some wines are aged in oak barrels, (between 18 to 24 months), some in stainless steel tanks.
